Itinerary:
See the natural beauty of Cairns in the early morning light on this tour that features modern art, tasty food, local history, native wildlife and a spectacular sunrise you'll never forget!
With an informative local guide, start the morning adventure with a brief walk to the recently redeveloped Esplanade Lagoon, admiring the unique fish sculptures that add a bit of character and flair to the area. By now you’re sure to be hungry, so satisfy your appetite by learning to cook a typical Aussie barbecue breakfast - a delicious bacon and egg burger, while watching a stunning sunrise over the foreshore. Wash your breakfast down with a hot cup of tea or coffee then walk along the Esplanade, spotting the native birds and marine life that live here.
Binoculars will help find the more reclusive birds and animals that hide in the trees! This is a great opportunity to learn why this bio-diverse ecosystem is so important and capture snapshots of the artistic sculptures that dot the Esplanade. Continue the walk by heading back along the Esplanade, where your guide will point out local historical monuments and points of interest, before returning to the starting point where this morning adventure ends.
With a full day still ahead of you, why not use the day to catch a boat out to see the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef or explore more of Cairns in your own time?
Your trip:
For your Urban Adventure you will be in a small group of a maximum of 12 people.
Tipping:
If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides and drivers a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Intrepid Urban Adventures destinations. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this tour.
