Experience life at Touna Aute village on this 6 hour Dominica tour. Enjoy its beautiful river, meet its friendly people and gain a unique insight into local cultures.

From the wharf, travel through some of the finest rainforests in Dominica and see the island’s natural beauty up close.

Touna Aute translates to ‘Water Village’ in native Kalinago language and there are plenty of activities to do here, both in the water and out: walk about the village and visit the homes, learn about bamboo basket weaving, sugar-cane juicing, cassava bread making and fruit picking. You will also get a chance to discover the secrets and Kalinago tales of natural healing. Then enjoy river swimming Carib Indian style in the crystal clear river pools.

Have lunch in a karbet, a traditional meeting hall, and enjoy complimentary drinks and traditional Kalinago snacks.
