Itinerary:

On this Annapolis walking tour you'll learn how to navigate around a town designed after great European cities while getting a chance to experience the people and places that continue to bring visitors back to Annapolis time after time.

This Annapolis walking tour begins with a stroll along Maryland Avenue with its quaint shops & historical homes flanked by the State House on one end and the US Naval Academy on the other, stopping by a few shops to meet the local shop keepers and See the State House, one-time Capital of the United States and the oldest state house in continuous legislative use, as well as the site of both General George Washington’s resignation as Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army and the signing of the Treaty of Paris.

Walk onto the grounds of the United States Naval Academy where we will go into the Chapel, view the crypt of John Paul Jones and visit Preble Hall (home to a multi-million dollar museum honoring the history of the Navy ~ so new, many locals don’t even know about it!)

Next, this Annapolis sightseeing tour will pass through Annapolis City Dock and the beautiful harbor area which boasts its title as “America’s Sailing Capital,” view “Ego Alley,” where boat owners show off their craft. Learn of an area formerly known as “Hell Point” and stop by the Alex Haley/Kunta Kinte Memorial. You’ll get a complete feel for how to get around this picturesque town so you can return on your own and spend more time exploring the parts that you like best… be it history, the water, or shopping.
