Itinerary:
Get an insider’s perspective on the best of St Lucia, from the sprawling fruit plantations to the therapeutic springs, on this half-day tour of the sights.
Hit the road, passing through Castries and winding along the coastal road to reach the summit of Morne Fortune. Admire the breathtaking views from the summit, and learn about the history of this spot which was originally a fort constructed by the French and captured by the British in the 18th century. Wander among the original buildings and soak up the panoramic views that take in the harbour and Pigeon Point.
Hit the road, winding up into the country’s principle fruit growing region. Visit one of St Lucia’s largest banana plantations, then call by a farming village before winding back down to the coast. Stop by some of the fishing villages that hug the coast and then enjoy a refreshing snack of freshly picked fruit and coconut water. This is sure to leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle a short hike to one of the island’s most picturesque waterfalls.
Hike through the colourful tropical flora, following the snaking river to reach this scenic spot. Snap a perfect shot, then leave the trails behind and head for the Sulpher Springs Park in Soufriere. While the sulphur fumes may smell a bit like rotten eggs, this is the ideal spot to pamper your body.
Cover yourself from head-to-toe in the warm mud and let it work its magic. Rinse it all off in the warm sulphur springs, enjoying your very own natural spa treatment. Completely rejuvenated, end the adventure with a delicious buffet lunch at a Creole restaurant in Soufriere. With full tummies, and relaxed bodies, enjoy the breathtaking coastal views on the drive back to the city.
