Itinerary

Visiting a town in Zambia is an eye-opening experience, there is a high level unemployment and people get by how they can. On this tour you will experience how the majority of the population lives. Their friendliness and smiling faces make you feel welcome and quickly at ease.

There are 73 languages are spoken in Zambia, however you will be able to communicate easily as English is the main language.

Cycling through the town with many stops along the way allows you to mingle freely with marketers, men, women and children going about their daily business, be it buying, selling, manufacturing, praying, learning or just hanging around and talking local politics. You will see it all on this leisurely cycle in Livingstone.

Your trip

This trip is offered on a "join-in" basis. Maximum group size is 6.

Dress Standard

When packing, be aware that dress standards are conservative throughout Africa. To respect this, and for your own comfort, we strongly recommend modest clothing. This means covering shoulders and no short shorts. We recommend a mixture of loose, lightweight clothing and warm clothing for the evenings. Shorts should be knee-length. Singlets and tank tops are not suitable. Topless sun bathing is unacceptable.

Tipping

If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides and drivers a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Intrepid Urban Adventures destinations. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this trip.

Child policy

Children must be 6 years of age to 11 years inclusive.
