- Dress standard:
Please ensure you are wearing a comfortable pair of walking shoes. A hat, sunscreen and adequate protective clothing from the sun are required during warmer months. Carrying a small umbrella will be useful in the event of light showers. Weather in Melbourne can be quite unpredictable. Please prepare for versatile conditions.

Children must be 6 years of age to 11 years inclusively, children under the age of 6 are not permitted on the tour.

Itinerary:
Do as Melbournians do – meet at Federation Square, Melbourne’s cultural hub and popular meeting place. Learn the history of the site including its controversial construction and current uses. We then start our ultimate Melbourne sightseeing tour.
Wind your way along the Yarra River, the life blood of the city centre. Learn about the Aboriginal people, the traditional owners of the land. Visit the sites of Melbourne’s settlement and learn of the trials and tribulations of Batman & Fawkner – Melbourne’s founding fathers.
To the east marvel at the sporting precinct to the city’s east. Learn about the die hard sporting culture of the city and the evolution of Australian Rules football from a Melbourne sport to a national phenomenon. Pick up some of the local lingo to put you in great stead for conversations will Melbourne football lovers.
The grungy back alleyways of ‘The Quarter’ is home to small fashion designers, intimate music venues and walls adorned with colourful street art. Learn about some of the iconic grafitti on a stroll through the laneways garnering a new found appreciation of this liberal art form.
The tour then weaves through Centre Place, a local haunt for coffee addicts and all day breakfast grazers. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a European city as you enjoy a favourite Melbourne pastime – people watching.
In stark contrast to the back alleys of ‘The Quarter’, the tour then turns to the elegance of post gold rush Melbourne. Here you will visit grand arcades and quaint alleys as you marvel at the preservation of these century old buildings.
