Start off by joining a nature expert on a guided walk through Seattle. Experience the wonder and resilience of nature in and around this dense urban environment. During the walk you will have the opportunity to spot Pacific Northwest birds and other wildlife. Along the way enjoy expert interpretations of local and natural history, architecture, culture, geology and urban ecosystems.
Hear about the three fault lines that live under the city, and the powerful geological forces that have been shaping this region since the Ice Age. Visit historic Pioneer Square in the oldest part of Seattle. Learn about the Great Seattle Fire and the Klondike Gold Rush. Hear the history of the Space Needle, Smith Tower and Pike Place Market. Spend time visiting the Olympic Sculpture Park, a nine-acre green space for art.
