Itinerary

Under the zodiac constellation of Grand Central Terminal’s painted ceiling, your local guide will provide an introduction to this impressive landmark.

Join eclectic New Yorkers on the city’s staple transportation while riding the subway  to Battery Park. New York City’s subway, one of the oldest and most extensive public transportation systems in the world, not only carries millions of passengers daily, its mosaics, photographs, sculpture and music performers provide a variety of colorful life.

Aboard the Staten Island Ferry, we will cruise past the iconic Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the embarking point for millions of immigrants with hopes of chasing the American dream.

After returning to Manhattan by ferry, our leader will guide you through the Financial District, home of the Wall Street and New York City Stock Exchange where fortunes are made and lost.  This is also the former site of the World Trade Center where we will visit Ground Zero, the emotional memorial to September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

For lunch, New York style pizza with its thin crust, tangy tomato sauce laced with basil and oregano, topped with real mozzarella cheese.  We will sample this legendary dish with locals at a neighborhood pizza shop.

Subway will deliver us to the bustling energy of Times Square, situated in the heart of the theater district with its bright super signs. Site of the gala New Year’s Eve ball drop, Times Square is lively any time of day or night. You might even find yourself sitting in the middle of the action in the city’s recently designated lawn chair zone.

Top off your NY day 70 floors above the city at the “Top of the Rock.”  From the Rockefeller Center Observation Deck, enjoy spectacular 360 degree panorama with views of the Central Park and the NY skyline.
