Itinerary

Departing Foz do Iguassu at 8.30am we travel to to Iguassu National Park

Once we arrive there we can see a short environmental exposition about the Park and the region, and then take the panoramic bus for 11 kilometers in direction to the Iguassu Waterfalls, during this route you are going to see variety of flora and how dense the local subtropical forest is; with some lucky you can see some wild animals.

After been introduced to the wild life we will do a walking trail on the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls, approximately 1,200 meters long, which leads the visitor along the river with its many smaller falls from Argentinean side to the base of the biggest waterfall where a catwalk extends out over the brink of the series of falls which make up Devil´s Throat.

This side provides a good general view of the falls. After walking the catwalk, there is a tower with an elevator/lift (wheelchair access) to get people to the top of the falls from where one can have a spectacular panoramic view. At the top the trail leads to the end of the tour in front of the Iguassu River above the falls.

Our adventure finish at 12h30 where our Guide will drop you off in your hotel or in Foz do Iguaçu city centre, he will be able to give some suggesttion for a good local restaurant. After drop you off in Foz do Iguassu city centre or your hotel at 12h30, end of the Services.

Latin Americans can be very conscious of appearance so try to be casual but conservative in your dress. Outside of beach areas halter tops and very short shorts should not be worn. When visiting churches or religious sites shoulders and knees should be covered.

Tipping

If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides and drivers a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Intrepid Urban Adventures destinations. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this trip.
