Itinerary

Departing at 7.30am, our destination is the Argentinean side of the famous Iguassu Falls. After being collected from your hotel, we drive approximately 1 hour to the National Park.

Our guide will lead us to the train station where we catch the train to Devil’s Throat Station.  On arrival we continue by foot on a catwalk (2000 meter round trip) above the Iguassu River providing an amazing view of the still waters before they descent over the falls into a raging torrent of water.

After this amazing view of the Devil’s Throat we climb about the train for the journey back in order to access the Upper Circuit.  From here the views of Iguassu River are spectacular.  We walk through the Iguassu forest for 45 minutes.

Around lunch time our guide will point out some great local good options for lunch.  Please note that lunch is not included.

After lunch we continue our walk, this time on the Lower Circuit, introducing us to Iguassu Canyon, at 1600 meters we have the opportunity to really feel the falls.

When we finish this pleasant trail we will be ready to go back to Puerto Iguazú to see the meeting point between Iguazú and Paraná Rivers, both divide Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.

We are going to have contact with local community during our visit at the Three Land Mark and also on our stop for 45 minutes at a local market (Feirinha), where we can find wine, cheese, olives, alfajores and lots more… Always we will find someone trying to sell local handmaids or kids asking for a coin around the market.
Our transfer back to Foz do Iguassu city centre or your hotel will be near 17h00 and when we get there is going to be the end of the Services.

Your trip

Dress Standard

Latin Americans can be very conscious of appearance so try to be casual but conservative in your dress. Outside of beach areas halter tops and very short shorts should not be worn. When visiting churches or religious sites shoulders and knees should be covered.

Tipping

If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides and drivers a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Intrepid Urban Adventures destinations. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this trip.

Child policy

Children must be 6 years of age to 11 years inclusively.
