Itinerary
Around Livingstone there are numerous villages and compounds where the traditional African way of life remains relatively unchanged. Drive to one such village, where the people are still not connected to the mod-cons that we take for granted such as electricity and running water.
Join an expert local guide on a walking tour of the village. See houses, a school, a witch doctor/traditional healer and a home brewery. You’ll also see traditional and conservation farming at work. See how the people live and build their huts from natural materials.
You will experience up close how hard it is for many people to make a living.Be touched by their tenacity and perseverance in the face of adversity.
You will be dropped off at your hotel at the end of this tour.

This trip is offered on a "join-in" basis. Maximum group size is 12.Dress Standard
When packing, be aware that dress standards are conservative throughout Africa. To respect this, and for your own comfort, we strongly recommend modest clothing. This means covering shoulders and no short shorts. We recommend a mixture of loose, lightweight clothing and warm clothing for the evenings. Shorts should be knee-length. Singlets and tank tops are not suitable. Topless sun bathing is unacceptable.Tipping
If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides and drivers a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Intrepid Urban Adventures destinations. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this trip.Child policy
Children must be 6 years of age to 11 years inclusive.
