After a brief introduction to the city, we will start our bike cruise past Brighton Pier and on to Madeira Drive, home to the Volks Railway, the oldest electric railway in the world.
We will pause at Brighton Marina to admire stunning views down the south coast but we’ll be careful not get too much of an eyeful, as the nudist beach is nearby…
From here we’ll head up to the cliff tops that overlook the marina for a breathtaking vista across the English Channel. One of the most famous all girl’s schools in the world, Rottingdean, will stand grandly behind us with its impressive buildings, which some say resemble Hogwarts.
Back on our bikes, our next stop will be historic Rottingdean Village, the former home of Jungle Book author Rudyard Kipling. We will take some time to explore this picturesque place with its idyllic village green and pretty churches, home to one of the few pirate gravestones found anywhere in the world. We’ll take a glimpse at a Tudor-style set of houses that once acted as an A-list hotel to Hollywood stars of the 1930s such as Betty Davis and Cary Grant. We will finish in Rottingdean with a wander through Kipling’s Gardens. Listen to a few tales of 18th and 19th-century smuggling and maybe enjoy a coffee on the beach or a traditional cream tea as we savour some quiet time away from the city.
We’ll then head back along the Undercliff path, an incredible walkway which is arguably the highlight of our tour. With the radiant white cliffs on one side and the ocean on the other, this is a path not to be missed during your Brighton trip.
The Undercliff Walk finishes at Brighton Marina. We will make our way back to the start point to return our vehicles before walking down to the beach for a delicious and well-deserved gelato, from an award winning artisan ice cream stand no less!

Also, if there has been heavy rain, this may affect the tour as there will be a lot of chalk runoff from the cliffs, making the surface very slippery. We follow the weather forecasts religiously so will always have an idea of what is about to happen.
