Ready to get active on the water? Southern California's Dana Point is a popular spot for launching kayaks thanks to calm waters that make paddling easy, as well as the abundance of rental shops in the area.
After meeting your guide, you’ll get a brief overview of how to safely enjoy your sea kayaking tour. Once we pick up our kayaking gear, we'll cruise around the harbor and chat about the interesting history and folklore of Dana Point.
Upon returning our kayaks, it’s time to switch gears. We’ll then embark on a scenic hike over to Dana Point Headlands. Along the way, you’ll learn all about the Lantern District, and pass the Ocean Institute to get some insight into local marine life. We'll pause at an ocean overlook point, and end with a stroll on the beach to get back to our starting point.
Dana Point is beach resort city in Orange County, and the harbor here is the largest pleasure boat harbor in Southern California. The stunning beaches, laid-back local vibe, and the beautiful mountain backdrop make it easy to see why so many people are smitten with the area.
