After meeting your super-friendly guide, we’ll take you on a walk outside the charming Old Town of Vilnius, chatting and getting to know each other as we stroll towards our first stop, one of the oldest markets in Vilnius.

At the market, we will introduce you to some of Lithuania’s finest organic produce and the crème de la crème of local food products and drinks. Think strange cheeses, dried meats, rye bread, craft beers, pink soup (a Lithuanian specialty!) and berry wines — all of which will allow you to experience the exciting and up-and-coming gourmet world of rural Lithuania. Yum!

Upon leaving the market, we’ll continue our walk along the city walls to discover a quirky artisan sweet shop down a delightful road that not many tourists know about, which boasts an abundance of handicraft stores and workshops. We’ll talk to the shop owner and hear stories about how the businesses on this funky street work together to create a buzz about their work. There will also be an opportunity to view and touch unique pieces of art made right here by the artists living on the same street. We are certain that you’ll want to return here for more shopping after your tour!

Next up, we’ll visit a boutique designers' shop where they specialise in creating innovative and sometimes spiritual works of art from odd materials.

From the modern to the medieval, a shopping tour of Vilnius would not be complete without exploring some of its fabulous old workshops which specialise in classical crafts, with many of the methods used to create them going unchanged for centuries.  If we get lucky, we might actually see the artisans at work and find out some of the secrets of their craft. Even we locals are constantly amazed by the works of these artisans — from rural three-in-one dolls and intricate wardrobes to ancient noblemen’s jewellery and household items. We are proud that the artisans of Vilnius work hard to preserve our history for future generations.

Having worked up a healthy thirst, our tour will end with a lovely walk down another street full of boutique local designers (we may pop in one or two if we have the time) towards a small local brewery. Here we’ll treat you to a well-deserved pint of beer or mead and if you like, you can treat yourself to a traditional Lithuanian fire lunch (BBQ sausages, which pair nicely with an ice cold beer!). And relax…

Last but definitely not least, if you’re in the mood to do something a bit different and slightly crazy, we can take you to get a temporary Lithuanian pagan tattoo so you can surprise your loved ones with a spot of ancient body art! We know tattoos aren’t for everybody so this activity is totally optional and at your own expense at the end of the tour, but what a fun way to remember the incredible shopping tour you experienced in Vilnius… just be sure to get a photo before it washes away!
