Discover New Zealand’s gorgeous scenery with a trip outside the city and into nearby nature. From our meeting point, we’ll jump into our pre-ordered vehicles and make our way across the Waitemata Harbour, soaking up stunning views of the ocean and Auckland’s unique landscape.
After a short ride out of the city we’ll arrive at a hidden slice of native forest that even many locals don’t know about. Once on our bush walk, we’ll start to hear and then see an abundance of Tui birds in full voice and flight. These guys are sometimes hard to find, but not here! You’ll learn about native trees, bush and wildlife and discover which plants Kiwis have been using for centuries as natural remedies.
Then we'll head to a stunning beach and get out with the locals to walk the coastal walkway. After strolling the beach, the bush and then back at the beach again, we’ll stop off at Auckland’s best-kept secret swimming spot for a paddle or a dip. As you look out across the ocean, you’ll see and learn about Rangitoto, Auckland’s youngest yet most physically striking volcano.
Once we’ve worked up a hunger, we’ll stop in at a seaside village suburb for a traditional Kiwi ritual: lunch and refreshments at the beach under our gorgeous pohutukawa trees!
Your tour end in Takapuna, but your guide will point you in the direction of your accommodation and, most importantly, give you tips on the best shopping, eating and drinking in town.
