Urban Adventures. Quite simply, the Best. Day. Ever.
Japan always does things a little differently and Christmas is no exception! Likely one of the world’s quirkiest holiday traditions takes place on December 24th in cities across Japan from Kyoto to Tokyo when people line up for their holiday feast of…KFC! That’s right, the traditional meal for Christmas Eve has been put in the hands of the Colonel and his secret recipe. Christmas isn’t even an official holiday in Japan, but due to the shortage of turkeys available, KFC launched an ad campaign in the 1970s that exclaimed “Kurisumasu ni wa kentakkii!” (Kentucky for Christmas!). It caught on and ever since the tradition of KFC Christmas in Japan was born! Should we send Tokyo Urban Adventures a Christmas bucket?
