We took the Garden District tour with Davis on our last day in town and it was a great conclusion to our trip. The neighborhood was a fascinating place and Davis has a wealth of knowledge to share, especially about the cemetery, which we were particularly interested in. Davis is one of the friendliest people we’ve met on our travels and his love of his city added so much to the tour.
Our food tour with Rene gave us a great sampling of a variety of things to eat at different places around the French Quarter. Everything was fresh and delicious! Rene was so generous and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge of the food and New Orleans in general.
The cocktail history tour with Sophie was packed full of interesting places and fascinating information. The cocktails were excellent, and most of them were new to us. Sophie has a love for the French Quarter that was evident throughout the entire tour, and she was passionate about everything she shared with us.
The jazz tour with Kiazer gave us a great outline of the history of jazz in New Orleans. Louis Armstrong Park is a beautiful place, especially for an evening tour. Frenchman Street had a great energy and the musicians were amazing.
Urban Adventures has become an absolute must for me everywhere I go as they always have the best tours and quality, So for my first time to NOLA, I went with their 3 in 1 combo tour. Keep in mind, this is 3 different tours with 3 different guides chained together. Some people seem to not like this, but it doesn't bother me in any way.
The day started with their morning food adventure. Angela was our guide and was great. She was very friendly and open to suggestions and very knowledgeable. We got to have all kinds of food and bits of history thrown in. This segment started at about 10:30 and lasted roughly 2.5 hours. We covered a lot in the French Quarter and was a great way to get familiar with things for a return to the area.
Next up was the cocktail tour at about 2pm and lasted bout 2.5 hours. Our guide Sophie was incredible. We went to quite a few unique places and everything was amazing. It was very chill and we had a great time trying all kinds of different drinks in amazing places.
Lastly was the jazz tour at 5:30 and lasted about 2.5 hours. I was the only one during this portion. My guide Kevin was great. He is also a musician, so he was very into the jazz scene and had a lot of good suggestions. There was a lot of history attached too which I really liked.
In conclusion, this was an all day adventure with a lot of amazing experiences and people. If you're interested in an all in one NOLA experience, you really can't go wrong here. Urban Adventures always has the best adventures. You definitely won't be disappointed with this one.
