Byzantium, Constantinople, Stamboul, Istanbul… It may seem like this city has had a bit of an identity crisis, but when you’ve lived for 2,500 years, you’re bound to go through a few reincarnations. Yet, no matter what name this bi-continental city has taken, its ability to dazzle has remained the same. From the exotic Spice Bazaar to incredible skylines dotted with minarets to the breathtaking Bosphorus, it’s no wonder Istanbul enchants all who visit. And while you’ll have no trouble finding plenty of nooks and crannies to explore, we recommend checking out the local scene with an Istanbul city tour.

What a fantastic tour. We covered so much (Blue Mosque, Suleymani Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar etc etc) though it never felt rushed and we even had time to stop for a Turkish coffee with an amazing view over the city. Burak, our guide, was fantastic. His English was excellent, and he really got the balance right with giving lots of interesting information about the city, but not overloading us with too much. He was also great at answering all my questions and taking us to places and imparting knowledge that I'd never otherwise have had on the city! A really brilliant tour and highly recommended. The other thing to add (as a major positive) is that there were only 2 of us (it was off-season in November) and yet the tour still went ahead - a real advantage with this tour given that is hardly a given with some other tour companies!

Overall a very good experience. Our guide was friendly and helpful including giving tips for places to visit in Istanbul. The only slight negative was the level of interaction with the local family. I had hoped for more of a 2 way conversation (albeit translated).
