Itinerary:
Your foodie adventure begins at Ploče gate where you will meet your expert local guide. We will take a stroll down St. Dominic Street and enter the walled city through the old port. Here we will stop to talk about the importance of fish to the Dalmatian diet and local economy and we’ll introduce you to the fish market.
Next up, we’re going to try a glass of our favourite wine and our top-pick olive oil and cheese from one of our favourite restaurants in the city, sharing with you what we think are the best products of this kind in the region. And let’s face it, you can’t do any food tour in the entire Mediterranean without tasting some olive oil; it simply must be tasted everywhere you go! But that's not all our dear friends! You can also expect baked black olives, pickled shallots, capers, sundried tomatoes, and homemade bread.
Feeling hyped up on fine wine and cheese, we’ll take a short walk that will take in some of the city’s top cultural highlights including Stradun, Dubrovnik’s main street. We’ll also talk about a place known as the Cathedral of Wheat. To find out more, you’ll just have to take this tour! After learning about life and food culture in the 15th century, we will emerge enlightened and eager for our next culinary experience!
More epic street wandering amongst the antiquity of old Dubrovnik follows before we reach our next foodie stop, known for serving traditional local food with a twist! We’ll taste some of their signature dishes alongside a perfectly paired glass of wine. Cheers!
Our last stop is the green market, the heart (or rather the belly) of Dubrovnik. This is STILL the place where locals buy their groceries. We’ll make the final stop on our culinary adventure at a place where you'll have the option of finishing with something sweet, plus another glass of wine will not be far away!
Your tour ends here but before you go, don’t forget to tap up your guide for all the local goings on, places to visit, restaurant recommendations, etc. We are your passport to the perfect Dubrovnik break!
